Off to an Awesome Start!
We are off to an awesome start in Combined Arts. We started on the first day with Art. Each class used a different technique to create a self portrait. The next day, we discussed friendship and made name projects during our Weekly Reader time. In computers, we have been working on turning on and shutting down the computer and using the mouse in the lower grades. The upper grades are working on their keyboarding skills. In the third week, we were finally able to get going with Music, where we have been working on beat, rhythm, and melody.
I have been so impressed by the talent I have seen in all areas! It is just wonderful to hear students say "I am an artist" and be excited about singing a solo in church. I love watching the students explore the many different talents they have.
Below are some pictures of the art projects we have been working on.

Fun and Fitness Walk
The students took a break from Friday's Phy Ed class on September 18th when they participated in the "Fun and Fitness Walk." The students were led through Luxemburg by nurses from the Kewaunee Health Department. They were also joined by faculty, staff, parents, and grandparents. Everyone had fun while getting fit!
